What is it?
A unique one of a kind form of entertainment that brings the “battle to your turf “ Red Line Mobile is primarily an Outdoor Laser Tag Party Company. We also have the ability to handle inside events. We consider ourselves a Video Game Simulation Company; we take the video game and bring it outside. RLM’s goal is to get the youth off the couch and back out into the great outdoors, but offer entertainment consistent with the aspects they love in video games.
How long is play time?
Average game play lasts about 3-5 minutes per round, with up to 12 players on the field per round. When player’s lives are depleted they must exit the field to the HQ to have their tagger reset for next round (eliminates cheating). With training and turn-over time between games we usually see about 20-25 rounds per hour. The majority of private parties last 2.5 hours which included 45 minute setup and 45 minute disassemble time. The actual game play time is 1 hour additional time can be purchased on a ½ hour block rate. Corporate/ Summer Camps are considered Large Group Events. (Please see rates in pricing) Red Line Mobile will arrive at your location approximately 1 hour before the event is set to begin. Two Red line staff members will discuss the set up location with the event sponsor. Red line staff will set up of the inflatable bunker obstacle field. If space allows the full field consists of up to 16 different shaped bunkers from 5’ wide x 4’ high up to 5’ wide x 10’ high. A headquarters tent is set up as a command center for players who are out of the game. HQ is equipped with a computer unit so taggers can be reprogrammed and players can return the game at the end of each round. Players will be briefed on the functionality of the taggers and the various games that can be played. After the briefing, players enter the battle field….
The Game Play
Laser tag field is like stepping into a life-size video game screen in your back yard. Your senses are bombarded by pulsating war themed music, intermittent flashes of light and the real life sound effects of gun fire. Enemies crouch in shadows, behind the inflatable bunkers, intent on your destruction. “The game play is so intense for an instant you consider retreat — then you remind yourself this is just a game!”Team elimination, is RLM’s most popular game. The object of the game is to score 10 enemy hits on your opponent while defending yourself and your team from attack. Players are grouped into 2 teams of up to 6 members per team, total 12 players identified by red or black headbands. There is no additional charge if additional players wish to participate in private parties. Points are scored by hitting the opposing team’s probe located on the laser tag tagger or on three probes located on players head band. Each player starts with 10 lives. Players reload after 100 shots fired by pressing the reload button manually. A special sound is heard when a player is hit. Once a player has been hit ten times a mortality sound is heard and the player must come off the field until end of the game. After the last player has been eliminated both parties come together at the HQ to regroup for the next game.”Red Line Mobile Laser Tag’s” state of the art equipment offers real life firing “sound effects, red light laser sites, flashing muzzle flash lights, hit and mortality sounds” all which intensifies during night play. Yet still offer the safety of a toy Halo video game type gun. The sound effects include an empty sound when the tagger has no ammo. The player must reload which takes approximately 8 seconds then they are back in the battle. When a player is hit the sound is comparable to get the “wind knocked out of you with a “UMPH!!!” Players always know if they’ve been hit or scored points because, when a target is hit, the tagger or probe lights up and a sound is heard. Finally the mortality sound of “AUHHH!!!” Player’s tagger will not function once the mortality rate has been reached and must exit the battlefield and wait at HQ until the end of the game.
